Lagoona Blue EOTD

Inspired by my new
Monster High Doll 'Lagoona Blue' daughter of the sea monster. She's wearing a lot of magenta and pink makeup, but obviously I don't have blue skin (she looks really green in the photo for some reason) so I decided to add blue with my eyeshadow. I still don't know whether I should unbox her yet. :)

Base- Urban Decay Primer Potion
Mascara- Avon Astonishing Lengths

BYS Shimmer Shadow Quad in 01 Purple Shimmer

I don't think I've yet seen any reviews of BYS shadows, so here goes. :)

The colours in this quad are mainly cool toned and they consist of cocoa brown to purples and lilacs. Once you get past the white striped shimmery overlay which will only take you one swipe, the shadows are fairly shimmery but some appear to be more of a satin finish.

Texture wise the shadows are quite soft but they do lack descent pigment, I'm all for heavy pigment type of girl. So the pigment isn't exactly non-existent but there's a lot of layering up the colour involved, which not everyone has time for.
On the other hand if you have a great base or like a sheer wash of colour it's for you, if not you don't really need it.

The BYS line is cheaply priced and usually you can pick up some great quality products.
I just adore their lip liners and nail polish!
This particular quad costs only £2.50 and their quads come in 4 shades.

I purchased mine at Store21 but if you don't have access to one you can get them here.

17 Mirror Shine On Lipstick in Purple Haze

There's a hype going around with these new 17 lipsticks but I don't think I'm catching it.

First off these lipsticks are very sheer and the colour in the tube does not look like what you're going to get on the lips. The texture is extremely slippery and yes it's one of those lipsticks that are going to slide off within minutes. They're of course glossy but nowhere near as glossy as your average lipgloss.

The colour 'Purple Haze' is so not purple at all, it's more like a dark pinked magenta that comes out sheer

What I do love about these lipsticks is the packaging which is a gorgeous shiny tin aquamarine casing.

This lipstick has no taste or scent.

Naughty But Nice Strawberry Cupcake Handcream

We've all seen similar lipgloss versions around, but these ones are huge compared to those.
Naughty But Nice make these in 4 different scents and all in different cupcakes.
How yummy do these look?

You unscrew the top to open and the cupcakes are very sturdy and well made, not flimsy or cheap at all! So this gives you a reason to keep them for other bits and pieces when you use up the hand cream, or just a yummy display.

However the hand cream itself is well, just ok. The strawberry scent isn't very strong, you have to put your nose right up to it to get a subtle whiff. Texture wise it's very light and slightly greasy at first but soon enough sinks in, being moisturising on the other hand is just a quick thrill which really doesn't last like other hand creams.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Fruities in 053 Apricot Punch- The scent when dry smells like yummy Apricot yoghurt, which lasts about a day and a half on me.
A cream finish and I'd describe the colour as a bright peachy coral.

Small Models Own Haul

All eye items from Models Own and got them from a 3 for 2 offer at Boots. These are all £5.00 each.

Duo Eyeshadow in Pretty Baby- Consists of shimmery white and turquoise. Luxuriously soft and well pigmented, I'm in love.

PE035 Pastel Pink- Muted icy pale pink, the texture of this is very soft and light but also extremely pigmented.

PE024 Neon Pink- A neon pink, but quite sheer and chalky. You really need a great base or primer for this to work.

Purchased at Boots.

Fresh Cut Lilac EOTD

~Product Used~

Base- Urban Decay Primer Potion
Mascara- Avon Astonishing Lengths
Eyeliner- Revlon Liquid Liner, The Body Shop
Sparkle Eyeliner 01
Eyeshadow- Collection 2000 Angelic Palette Bourjois
Ombre Stretch 13 Black Glitter, Bloom Eskimo.

The Body Shop Lip & Cheek Stain - Free with Instyle magazine, worth £9.50 and full-size too!

There's two shades to choose from and I picked out 'Rose Pink', it's actually quite nice and there isn't a bad taste to it like most stains. It's very subtle though but keep in mind that I have reaallly pale lips to start with.

I really wouldn't use this on my cheeks as I'd find the watery consistency would mess up my base, although perfect for lips as it dries down quickly and perfect for wearing under lipstick for longevity.

Vampiress Beauty Randomness 15

Bourjois Blush in 34 Rose D'Or & 35 Lune D'Or- So I didn't really reckon the pots of eyeshadow but I do love the blushes. The only downside to them of course is that they're pretty small for a blush and it can be tricky to get your blush brush in, although you are supplied with a brush as you may know these kinds are rubbish to use as they're too flat and won't be able to pick up the colour and give you a streaky mess.

These two shades are nice and shimmery and the best thing about them is that they have a gorgeous scent which is really sweet but spicy.

Victoria's Secret Vanilla Lace- I love this sweet Vanilla fragrance that lasts, sadly though we don't have Victoria's Secret in the UK so Ebay is your best bet, unless of course if you want to pay high shipping charges and order it from their website.

Skinfood Sugar Cookie in 03 Bebe Lavender- A beautiful lavender lilacy shade which I was looking for in a blush.
The disappointing bit is that this one isn't really pigmented at all
, I had to give around 10 swipes for a swatch. I still await my perfect lavender blush. Paid around £8.90 for it on Ebay.

Yves Rocher Luminelle Eyeshadows in 79 Dagree D'Argent and 74 Rose Sucree- Beautiful soft pigmentation in these pewter and rose shimmery shadows.

The problem is the packaging, for some reason every time I open these I struggle and hit my nail straight into the pan.
See the evidence.
