Boots 17 Precious Metals

From this Summer collection from 17, I picked up a lipgloss and bronzer... also if you spent over £6.00 you get this free kit, pretty generous? :)

Precious Metals Bronzer- I was so not expecting it to be this freaking fabulous, you barely have to touch it to get a swatch. Extremely pigmented, soft as butter and easy to blend. A bargain for £4.99.

Blended..

Precious Metals Lip Gloss- Very sheer, appears to be a reddish coral and has the tiniest gold sparks which can not be felt on the lips and hard to see. No scent, no taste and no stickiness.
I'm not too keen on it, could of at least had a juicy fruity scent. Sets you back at £3.79

Contains
Waterproof Mascara Mini
Ultimate Volume Lipgloss in Pink Ice
Lasting Fix Nail Polish in Pink Grapefruit

Ultimate Volume Lipgloss in Pink Ice - My focus, because it's absolutely gorgeous. Don't be fooled by my lip swatch because I applied way too much then I needed and obviously with lipgloss applied heavily it makes a pool between your lips. It's definitely a iced pink with a thick pigmented consistency without the stickiness. So be lighter handed with it. Comes without any scent or taste.
A full sized gloss which would usually retail at £3.49.

Cover Girl Eyeshadows @ Poundland

It's rare to see Cover Girl in the UK, so I was surprised when I saw them at Poundland and picked up all the shades they currently had in the store, being obviously £1 each.
They aren't old shades, actually they have them all on the Cover Girl website in the same packaging.
The shadows themselves are pretty good, the singles are extremely soft with descent pigmentation and the trio is good but not as soft.
I'm so going back to look out for more!

009 Sterling Blue- Icy silvery blue

525 Forever Fig- Pearly brown plum.

119 Dazzling Metallics- All sparkly. Burnt orange, black, yellow gold.

Dirty Works Go Balmy! Berry Lip Balm

Look familiar?
Sainsbury's are currently stocking a bodycare range named Dirty Works which is a ringer for Soap & Glory but shhh a lot cheaper too. Now we know it's not pink but it still has that retro feeling, pale blue and lemon polka dots.
I picked up this lip balm and a few other things which I still need to post about.
This cost me £1.66 as it was on offer but the usual price is £2.49, which isn't bad either for this type of product.
I was expecting a burst of berry goodness when I opened the tube but it is rather subtle, and the taste isn't too sweet either so great for the sensitive types. The texture is in the middle being not too thin or thick and is very glossy.
Now don't expect this to stay on your lips for a long time because it won't, it starts to disappear within 10 minutes, but you are left with prepared soft moisturised lips.

The bad?
I wanted a stronger scent but that's about it, worth a try!

Small Primark Makeup Haul

When I walked into Primark I noticed a big stand full of makeup for a £1 a pop.
It seems to me that high street fashion chains are getting more into stocking makeup or their own brand.
I picked up two glitter liners, which do not have names or numbers. So I'll just call them by their standard colour.
They're quite good, ok they're no Collection 2000 version quality but they're better than the Gosh Glitter liners.

Purple- Amethyst colour with finer glitters.
Blue- Metallic ocean blue shade with chunkier glitters.

Shimmer Shadow- I actually thought that this was going to be a powder so don't be fooled, they're actually cream.
I picked a frosty white shade with iridescent reflecting sparkles and is not gritty.
It's really pretty and dries down quite fast, making it great for a base or highlight.
