Max Factor Lash Extension Effect Mascara

I noticed today that I haven't done any mascara reviews, so I decided to review my latest which is 'Max Factor Lash Extension Effect Extreme Lengthening Mascara'

Now I usually go for volume but decided to try a lengthening.
Lash Extension Effect cost around £10.99 which is on the expensive side for a drug store brand, but I did purchase this when it was on promotional offer.

Now if you want naturally long wispy lashes then this is for you.

To me it doesn't seem to be a very black mascara which I do not like, if it would of had more pigment I would adore it. On the other hand it really does lift the lashes very well. (I never use lash curlers, I have no time for them)

It has a faint, the usual mascara type smell, yes I've had those chemically enriched paint smelling mascaras.

The applicator is quite slim with little combs and has a hard plastic feel.

Before
As you can see, my lashes are really dull and a medium browny blonde. They seem to lighter at the tips weird enough so you can't really see my true length.

After
This is round about 6 coats, I always apply a looadd of mascara till well... it starts to clump.

Natural Collection Moisture Shine Lipstick in Apple Blossom

I caved in and got the most popular shade of lipstick 'Apple Blossom' from Boots Natural Collection, their cheapest line...costing only £1.95 each, because I like plastic doll lips too...hang on I like just about all lip colours.
What can I say?
This lipstick is sooo creamy and opaque and much more moisturising than Sweet Pea, which you can see my review for that here.
It has just the right amount of pink and peach, this lipstick is what you call a true nude.
All their lipsticks are Fragrance-Free and have no weird taste or smell. The packaging is not the best quality but the lipstick is!

Vampiress Beauty Randomness 12

Famous By Sue Moxley Eyeshadow Shimmer in Shade 16 (Brown) & Shade 12 (Purple)- I recently noticed that this range which you can buy from Superdrug at £4.00 a piece has changed their packaging and made a bigger shade range. These two shadows that I purchased are really buttery and intensely smooth, not to mention high in pigment and gleam.
Shade 16 reminds me of Too Faced Label Whore that had a baby with MAC Club.

Lush Massage Bar Soft Couer- Smells like real gorgeous chocolate and melts on your skin like choccy too, I cannot stop sniffing and applying this thing! Well worth the £4.10!

Collection 2000 Glam Crystals in 5 Le Freak- Beautiful deep turquoise shade, but this one does stain but I'll live with it because it's soo intense.

Sleek Kajal Eyeliners- Picked up both the shades they offered, which are a black (Nocturnal) and a purple (Odyessy).
The consistency reminds me of NYX Jumbo Pencils, so they would be great as a base too.
I hope they will release a nice burgundy shade.

17 Lasting Fix Lipstick in Blondie- Forgot that I actually bought this and was hidden in my makeup stash. Beautiful glimmering nude rosy peach.

Beauty Treats

So when I placed my order at one of my favourite makeup stops, such as Nonpareil Boutique.
I thought I might try some Beauty Treats considering that I've had a lot of luck with cheap USA brands such as Kleancolor and L.A Colors.

They can't be all good can they?

I guess not!

Beauty Treats Chrome Palette $3.75 approx £2.62
Beauty Treats Mosaic Highlighter $3.99 approx £2.79

Cheap but not cheerful.

As you can see with the palette, smooth beautiful sparkling jewel tones....just don't get too excited it's an overlay.

After I did these swatches, there's just plain boring shadow underneath.

The highlighter looks absolutely stunning, just too good to be true.
Pretty awful patchy glitz..

Once the glitz overlay is gone you're left with a unpigmented nothingness but on the bluey side you get a too pigmented blue eyeshadow??

No more Beauty Treats for me..

Boots 17 Lasting Fix Lipstick in Pink Power

This is the lipstick I've been using for the past couple of days and I love it. It's a mere £3.49 at Boots and really does feel much more expensive on the lips.
Of course it's one of those pigmented bright out there pinks and does deliver a 'Lasting Fix' also it leaves that really nice even stain when it does eventually wear away.
I don't think 'Pink Power' fits into the too warm or cool category.
The texture is moisturising but the good thing about it, is that it won't slide around the lips too much.
There appears to be no scent or taste.
I believe now the packaging has also changed to a black and reddish colour instead of the bluey grey.

It definitely appears more brighter in real life, than in the pics.
