Update & Xmas Prezzies

So unfortunately, my camera charger has completely been misplaced so that means I haven't been able to blog my posts. I had to borrow my Mums to do this and it really doesn't like doing macro mode shots.
Anyway I will find it....I'm on a quest. :)
In the mean time I just wanted you to see some of the stuff I got at Xmas.

So these are some gifts I received, not all of them fitted in the picture. Yes that's how spoiled I got.

Last but not least my main surprise present from my boyfriend who got me 'Chucky' I have Tiffany already and she needs her man. Yes Bride Of Chucky is one of my favourite films. :)

*~Merry Xmas~*

I hope you all had a good one! I got loooads of goodies and my son got completely spoilt.
Sorry for the lack of posting Xmas has been a little hectic for me and probably for a lot of you too and Santa gave me the present of a Xmas cold heh.

Anyway thanks so much to everyone who follows and reads this little blog in this big blogging world it means so much to me! I will hope to be doing a give away sometime in the New Year. :)

Of course I done a few holiday pieces.

First one is today's which I was going for a silvered red look.

Shadows Used- StarGazer Deep Red, Me Me Me Argent, Bloom Eskimo, Cover Girl Shimmering Onyx

Second just some frosty green.

NOTD Bleeding's Snow. Excuse any mess, I don't have any fancy brushes or stencils for nails yet.

Glitter Liquid Liners

This is currently my 'Glitter Liquid Liner' collection as I've only recently got into them.
I'm a lover of glitz and sparkle but I usually just use shadows and pencil liners to add that.. but sometimes I prefer a little intensity of what you can get with some of these liners.
Of course it is the holiday season, which is a great time to do this post. :)

The Body Shop Sparkle Eyeliner in 01- Which is a basic silver glitter eyeliner and I find that this has more gentle sparse glittery chunks then most others.

Collection 2000
Glam Crystals in Dancing Queen- Cherry red glitz with added multi colour sparkle. I love these glitter liners!

Collection 2000 Glam Crystals in Hustle- My favourite of all, this is a silver lilac but blue liner.
Absolutely stunning and hard to capture the beauty of it on camera and of course I use this the most and I'm starting to run out.

Sleek Glitter Eyeliner in Gem- A cool midnight blue, very very pretty. I recently discovered their glitzy liners and fell in love.

Sleek Glitter Eyeliner in Rebel- A strong powerful lilac. Sleek's are probably a little finer then the Collection 2000's.

I really ought to add a little more to my collection I think.
Anyhow how do you feel about glitter liners or maybe just glitter in general?

Real Vintage Rimmel Nail Polish

While going through my Mum's nail stash I came across this old Rimmel polish and she let me keep it.
I think this is very interesting as this nail polish couldn't have been when I was around as I don't remember ever seeing this in the shops. I reckon it's from the 80's or early 90's?
The shade is 'Russet Flame' and is in a quite slim but broad bottle with a gold cap and a big 'R' logo embossed on the top of the cap.
To actually top this off, the product inside is in perfect condition and applies very nicely indeed and to be honest it's probably better quality then their range today.

A lovely warm red with little gold iridescence.
So anyone remember this polish or have seen it before? Let me know. :)

So I've been all chuffed today as I received this in the mail! The lovely Alex from Illamasqua got in touch and sent me a few goodies and when I got it I couldn't resist doing a review. :)
It's really quite funny as I've been eyeing up this brand for a while now but never got around to purchasing anything.
As I can see straight away that's it's a British Gothic Alternative high-end brand with a very big selection of colours and formulas much like MAC but with a edgier look and unusual naming on their products, they even have a shadow called 'Lestat' whoever is a fan of Anne Rice vampires will know who this is.

I recieved a sweet postcard complete with a huge poster, lipstick and a pencil

Medium Pencil in Sophie- Which is the pencil made specifically for the S.O.P.H.I.E foundation.
I have to admit the packaging is quite basic like an average writing pencil but it's not any eyeliner pencil by any means, yes you can use it all over your body as it states on the pencil itself 'Medium Pencil: For eyes, lips, Face and body.'
Now this is weird because I'm a black liquid eyeliner girl myself but this is very intense black and very easy to apply being creamy but not too over creamy like Urban Decay's Zero which can be hard to apply because it's too of a creamy black and you find yourself sinking away from a perfect point.
I tried this out on my eyes and it looked like liquid eyeliner deep and fresh which is fantastic because I've never came across a black eye pencil like this, now I must use this for lips and I'm having lots of other ideas for this pencil.

Illamasqua Matte Finish lipstick in Howl - Illamasqua describe this as a 'Deep Terracotta Red'
Now to me it like a blooded warm medium red. It is a lovely shade and see myself wearing this a lot. For the matte part is absolutely looks matte but doesn't feel like it because of it's soft creamy feel, it isn't too creamy because that way it would just slip away, it's softness is to the extent to keep it very comfortable. The texture isn't thick but light with no scent or funny taste and I know it's long wearing because I've just drank my coffee and had a few munches and it's all still there.

Again sorry for my flaky lips this always happens this time of year it was actually snowing earlier!

Now for the last part all of my reviews are from my honest opinions no matter if it came from my own pocket or if it was given. I'm not one of those Shopping channels on TV! I do not see any point of fibbing because you 'want' to like something or someone told me so and actually it's one of my pet peeves.
I decided to do a blog because of my love is makeup and cosmetics and love to express my true feelings on products for myself and others!

Superdrug Dazzle Glittering Body Spray & Lip 'N Eye OTD.

This is definitely my favourite purchase of this week. So cheap for under a £1 and works beautifully.
First of all I hate it when you get sprays with glitter that's too chunky, gritty and uneven, this is why I love this as it's the complete opposite.
The sparkles are soo tiny and finely milled, you can't feel them at all and it also has this glowy, shimmering Hollywood red carpet look about it. There's a mixer ball inside so I think this is the secret of how it comes out so evenly.
The spray comes out as a delicate frosty silvered white, so absolutely perfect for pale skin which I'm so happy about.... and it doesn't stop there, you're blessed with a strong sweet modern fragrance with every spray and I think I'm wasting it on smelling the stuff.
Superdrug's Dazzle Glitter Body Spray is just packed in the normal Aerosol spray can and can be found in the deodorant and body spray section, just look out for the glittered lilac cap. :)

EOTD using a pink theme.

Shadows used- Me Me Me Argent, L.A Colors Serenade Eye Palette, Sleek Nightlife, Bloom Eskimo,

LOTD- Collection 2000 Volume Boost Lipstick in Perfect Pink -Which is a pretty dolly iced pink! Sorry about my flaking lips, I blame it on the weather. :)

Friday, 11 December 2009

Just a quick EOTD, sorry for the flaking mascara, I think I need to start a new one. :)

Shadows Used- Front Cover Rainbow Eyes palette (Cerulean, Viola, Blanc De Blanc), Cover Girl Shimmering Onyx, Sleek Glitter Eyeliner in Gem.

Urban Decay Pleather Pencil in Rubber- Oldie but a goody which is a creamy rich wine. Sorry for the sloppy quick application. I love this shade!

More From La Femme ^Eye Palettes^

After I purchased my first palette that you can see here. I had to buy some more. The pigmentation is insane, especially when the price is the cheapest of the cheap.
The eyeshadow pans are much bigger than my previous La Femme purchase but still no name for the palettes just numbers, just like BeautyUK..
These ones come with 3 long pans and a gradient like one at the bottom.
Palette 02 consists of blue & purple hues complete with a rich frosty highlight.
Palette 03 has frosty rich smoky graphite colours with also a highlighter shade, perfect for a shimmering deep smoky eye.

If you don't have any stockist near you, I've seen quite a few up on Ebay. I honestly think they're worth every penny and you will not be disappointed, just disappointed that they do not come with names but for the price they are, you can't complain and name them yourself haha.
